01 · The challenge
Install quickly.
See clearly.
For a West African land-drilling campaign, the project required gas detection and CCTV without an installation approach that slowed rig deployment or complicated future connection changes.
Monitor Systems designed wireless control and instrumentation links with quick-connect field interfaces, bringing safety information and visual coverage into a practical, supportable system.

02 · The installed system
Safety signals.
Ready where needed.
A Siemens S7-1500 automation platform combines wireless PLC field instrumentation, visualisation and alarm indication for the working rig environment.
- Four methane and four hydrogen-sulphide sensors integrated into the control system
- HMI with audio and visual alarm indication
- Wireless CCTV client and server architecture for flexible visual coverage
- Keyed bulkhead connectors supporting rapid connection and disconnection
03 · Delivery
Practical systems.
Supported remotely.
Installation, commissioning and secure support were considered together so the system could be deployed effectively and remain accessible to the engineering team.
- Wireless deploymentWireless CCTV and PLC field instrumentation reduce installation complexity around the rig.
- Safety indicationGas measurements feed audible and visual alarm indication at the HMI.
- Quick-connect field layerKeyed connectors allow equipment to be connected and disconnected with confidence.
- Remote supportScalance and SINEMA infrastructure provides secure remote support capability.
