Ballast control · Tank gauging
OCEAN PATRIOT.
Every tank, in view.
A modern tank gauging and pump-monitoring system that replaces dense console graphics with clear, large-format operational visibility.

01 · The challenge
Reduce the footprint.
Expand the view.
The original ballast board used three piano-style panels with fixed pontoon graphics, limiting how much information operators could see and use.
Monitor Systems surveyed the installation and upgraded the board, field instrumentation and PLC hardware to deliver tank levels, pump data, alarms, trends and diagnostics in one environment.

02 · The installed system
Level sensing.
Operational context.
Siemens PLC and IPC hardware combines with LevelCOM bubbler sensing to monitor ballast and utility tanks throughout the asset.
- Two 42-inch touchscreens at the ballast board
- Third display and 32-inch monitor in the pilot house
- Seven prewired stainless-steel sensor frameworks
- Pump control, run hours, pressure, inclination and diagnostics
03 · From tank to screen
Sense the level.
See the operation.
Distributed bubbler frames and stainless-steel manifolds bring field measurements into clear vessel-wide tank and pump visualisation.

04 · Engineering delivery
Modified in place.
Commissioned afloat.
The scope covered system design and build, ballast-board modification, LevelCOM installation, fabrication, engineering documentation, vessel installation and commissioning.
- Clear visualisationLarge touchscreens replace fixed graphics and reduce console footprint.
- Distributed sensingSeven sensor frames monitor ballast and utility tanks across the asset.
- Pump intelligenceOperators see run hours, pressures, alarms and equipment status.
- Onboard deliveryMonitor Systems installed and commissioned the upgrade on Ocean Patriot.
